Born and raised in New Jersey, deciding to get my college education in Kansas was a step out of my comfort zone that I wouldn’t trade for the world.
K-State’s Fashion Studies program continues to exceed my expectations with each semester. They have ensured we grasp a deep understanding of the importance of sustainability in the fashion industry, as the rise of fast fashion has brought never before seen harm to our environment and those working in garment manufacturing. I hope to work for a company that values the world we live in and those who live in it by taking action in their sustainability efforts.
In the summer of 2024, I hope to be interning in the area of styling or graphic design, ideally pertaining to apparel. I have a strong eye for styling, though I have never had the opportunity to do it for anyone beside friends and myself. I’d love to be able to study the practice under a professional. I’m also eager to improve my graphic design skills by challenging myself through industry experience.
Post graduation, my dream would be to style and market for musicians. I’d love to combine my passion for music and fashion by incorporating both into forming a strong identity and brand image.
